Houston Swim Club in League City had a spooktacular time at our First Annual Trunk or Treat event! Over a dozen vendors brought brilliantly designed trunks and displays for the kids to enjoy, including:
Gear for Greatness
Al Garza Premier Martial Arts
Yaya's Stitchin' Kin
Faron Daigle Realty
Texas Roadhouse
Raising Canes
Scrumptious Houston
Bay Area Houston Food Lovers
Hospitality ER
The Piercing Parlor
Texas Complete Auto
and Jasmine Journey Healing Center
We also had food trucks on site from Kona Ice and Travelin' Toms Coffee, dishing out delights for the kids and the adults.
I had a trunk, too! I was all dressed up in my Halloween vampire costume and handed out lollipops, assorted candy, and high flippers and flipper bumps. We had over 300 families at the event, so we gave out a LOT of candy. There were also a lot of families interested in swim lessons for their little ones, which is what we are all about!
I made a bunch of new friends that day. Leo the Turtle from Al Garza Martial Arts gave me some ninja lessons, I hung out with Andy Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse, and met kids in all sorts of costumes. We had princesses, Marios, ghosts and gouls, and so many more!
Some of our HSC families and staff joined the fun by hosting trunks of their own. Did you know that one of our League City instructors also has a crafting business? She was on site showing off her latest incredible creations.
As if we didn't need anything else to make the day more special, we were treated to a SOLAR ECLIPSE! Right as the 3-hour event was winding down, the October 14, 2023 annular solar eclipse crossed our path. Our office started handing out Eclipse Glasses so everyone could check it out, and one of our parents took a fabulous photo that he wanted us to share with everyone!
Needless to say, this dolphin had a blast, and we're all super excited for next years trunk or treat. There's plenty of more fun happening at Houston Swim Club Swim School this October and throughout the rest of the year, so if you're done reading my little blog, head over to the main page and see what else is happening! We've got pumpkin fun, contests, and so much more going on.
I hope we see you at our next trunk or treat event. Have a Swimtastic Halloween!
