It is with much sadness and disbelief that we want to let everyone know that our sweet momma, wife, and grandmother, Bonnie, has gone to be with her Heavenly Father.
We ask for your prayers, especially for our dad, as he has spent his last 64 years as her sidekick. Please pray for him to feel God's loving arms wrapped around him during this time.
Bonnie spent her life's work in drowning prevention at Houston Swim Club, which she purchased in 1994 from University of Houston head coach and U.S. Olympic coach, Phill Hansel and began building it into the thriving family-owned and operated business that continues to passionately provide quality swim lessons today at 7 locations in the Houston area.
Bonnie passed away very unexpectedly just after midnight on the morning of October 22, 2022, four days shy of her 78th birthday. Her legacy will live on through her husband, Eddie Howe, daughters, Tracy Laman, Tammy Schoen, and Kara Baker, her nine grandchildren and the entire Houston Swim Club family. We take solace knowing tens of thousands of lives of children have been touched by the passion Bonnie had for making each of them safer in and around water.
Your donation will help continue Bonnie's passion and help provide swim lessons scholarships to children in need through Hope Floats Foundation and Stop Drowning Now.
