Houston Swim Club (HSC) joined forces with Al Garza's Premier Martial Arts to promote health and safety in the community during a recent event in League City. HSC teamed up to participate in their annual "Health and Safety Day", which featured a variety of presentations and workshops focused on keeping kids safe.
Houston Swim Club was there to bring the topic of water safety to parents at the event, which is especially important during the summer months when many children spend time swimming in pools and other bodies of water. HSC provided information about the importance of swimming lessons and discussed essential water safety tips with parents and their kids in attendance.
In addition to the water safety, there were also kids safe workshops, which taught children about stranger danger, drugs, cyber safety, and other important safety topics. There were also vendors on hand selling safety-related products, as well as a bounce house and food trucks to keep the kids entertained.
Local law enforcement and fire departments from League City, Dickinson, and Houston also participated in the event, bringing along their vehicles for kids to explore. And for those interested in self-defense, Al Garza's Premier Martial Arts offered free workshops throughout the day.
Howey, the Houston Swim Club Water Safety mascot, was also in attendance, having fun with the kids and spreading the message of water safety. Howey is a beloved character in the community, and his presence at the event helped to draw in families and make the day even more enjoyable.
Overall, the Health and Safety Day was a huge success, with many families taking advantage of the educational workshops and fun activities. Keep an eye out, as Houston Swim Club will be participating in more events this summer to promote health and safety in YOUR community.
