When summer comes around, we think of fun, sun, and swimming. But for the amazing team at the Houston Swim Club Swim School, it's also a time when they hit the ground running to provide the best swimming lessons in Houston.
To say "thank you" to the instructors, office workers, and lifeguards at HSC, management planned a whole week of fun. They provided yummy snacks, cool stuff, and lots of fun things to do.
The week wrapped up this Sunday with a planned outing at the Houston Astros game at Minute Maid Park. Staff from all 7 of our locations around Houston came together (in matching shirts no less!) to watch the Astros face off against the Los Angeles Angels. If you were at the game, you might have seen a sea of bright orange shirts in the stands, cheering on our home team!
During the game, the team had good food, laughed a lot, and enjoyed spending time with members of the staff that they may only see a couple of times a year. It wasn't just about the game; it was a chance for them to become better friends outside of swim lessons. And, well, the Astros didn't win… but everyone had so much fun!
The final day of Staff Appreciation Week rewarded their hard work, but also reminded them of the bonds they had forged over countless hours of teaching, guiding, and supporting swimmers of all levels.
The Houston Swim Club staff's outing to the Astros vs. Angels game was not just a summer grand finale; it was a tribute to their dedication and the lasting impact they create in the lives of those they teach. As we transition to school schedules and cooler fall temperatures, the memories of Sunday will serve as a reminder of the remarkable team that keeps Houston kid’s swimming safely all year long.
I cannot tell you how much joy, relief and pride it brings me to have a 3 year old who cannot only swim, but LOVES being in the water.
HSC Sharpstown took a break from teaching awesome swimming lessons for some pre-holiday Easter celebrations!
